What is Invisalign?
It is an alternative to traditional metal braces, used to gradually straighten your teeth.
How Does Invisalign work?
Dr. Holley uses 3-D computer imaging technology to display how the teeth will need to be moved from their natural positions into the desired alignment. From that imaging, a series of aligners will be created. Each aligner is worn for two weeks and then replaced by the next in the series until the teeth reach their desired positioning.
How long do most patients wear Invisalign?
Most patients wear the aligners for about a year.
What are the Invisalign aligners made of?
They are made of a medical-grade clear plastic that is virtually invisible when worn.
What do the aligners look like?
Invisalign describes them as 'contact lenses' for the teeth. They fit snugly over the teeth, much like a custom-fit tooth-whitening tray.
How many dental patients have used Invisalign?
Almost 250,000 patients have used Invisalign worldwide.
Do dentists need certification to offer Invisalign?
Yes, dentists who offer Invisalign must attend training classes and become certified. Dr. Holley is one of the nearly 30,000 certified dentists worldwide.
Can Invisalign be used to treat minor dental problems?
Yes, Invisalign Express can be used to treat minor crowding and spacing problems. This treatment generally takes less than six months.
